Structured growth
When the business is ready for more but keeps hitting the same ceiling. I build the structure to break through — and hold the new level.
Growth, crisis, or a change of direction - I help you steer it without losing your footing.
Clarity under pressure. Decisions that hold up. Outcomes that endure.
I'm Cahal O'Reilly. I manage change for small and medium business owners — when the stakes are high and the path forward isn't obvious yet.
Sport, the British Army, business — I've spent my career leading change where clear thinking is non-negotiable. My reputation is built on the hard part: sound decisions when information is incomplete, the room is anxious, and the easy answers are wrong.
I made a full recovery from a catastrophic accident — hit by a car at 70mph while cycling London to Dublin. Four years and multiple operations later, recover I did. My story became part of the MIB national campaign on uninsured driving.
I shape every engagement to the client, but often they fall into one of these three.
When the business is ready for more but keeps hitting the same ceiling. I build the structure to break through — and hold the new level.
When something's gone wrong, the first job is to stop the bleeding. I find the real cause and steady the business.
When the route into new territory isn't clear. I set the course and hold things steady through the transition.
Underneath all three: a forensic audit to find the real constraint, hands-on delivery to make the change hold, and a confidential thinking partner for the person carrying it.
“I would have no hesitation in employing him in an executive capacity again. In my view he combines the forensic skills of a barrister with the decisiveness of a surgeon. He is a good man to have by your side in a crisis”
“My right-hand man in a sensitive and demanding task — energetic, hardworking and effective. By the end we had made real progress, much of it due to his efforts.”
“Thoroughly reliable, honest and transparent, and a pleasure to have on the team. No task was too challenging.”
“Cahal provided decisive leadership, direction and unfaltering determination at a time when the business needed it most.”
“Cahal is above all effective in identifying the crux of a problem and coming up with a workable plan to resolve it. He is extremely efficient at carrying out a plan of action.”
Each engagement was shaped to the client. The thread is the same: clarity, then delivery.
A live crisis, an operational puzzle, or a quiet sense that something isn't working — one call usually tells us if I can help.
